About Me
During my professional teaching career, I've been lucky enough to work with an extensive variety of students and schools, from KS2 to A-level. Every day in education genuinely excites me (platitude I know, nevertheless true).
1 to 1 tuition is proven to be more effective than full-class teaching. You or your child's mathematical potential can be unlocked; whatever the needs I'm specifically equipped to help.
Since qualifying in 2021 I'm equipped with:
1. Recent research-led strategies backed by the EEF (Education Endowment Foundation) and modern educators.
2. Differentiation - there is no miracle strategy to learning - every lesson is unique and tailored to the individual.
3. Adaptability - often in education educators do not consider prior knowledge at the front of a lesson; every child has individual needs, to which teaching should be tailored.
Surprisingly, my teaching journey began with coaching players and teams in the eSports industry. Eventually, my passion for the wonderful world of mathematics took over piloting me to a master's degree. Hence, combining the only things I knew how to do (maths and teaching) seemed logical.
During and since completing my PGCE I've worked with a range of student abilities and ages. I've allowed A-level students to gain skills to tackle the unpredictable nature of exams. 100s of primary-aged students make leaps in progress including the challenges of SATs & 11+ exams and many high school students get to grips with GCSE-level content.
